Since graduating from Vanderbilt University with a Masters degree in
speech-language pathology in 1994, Ashley has specialized in providing aural
habilitation services to infants and young children. Her early experience at the
Bill Wilkerson Center in Nashville TN ('94 - '97) also laid a foundation in normal
language development and its assessment. Since that time, her roles have
included private therapist in Valencia, Venezuela ('97 - '98) and lead speech
language pathologist on the Cochlear Implant Team at the
University of Michigan ('98-'02). In 2007, Ashley became a
Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist, one of only 3 practicing
in Michigan. Additionally, she serves as an educational
consultant to Cochlear Americas, the nation's leading cochlear
implant manufacturer.
