Listening and Language Connections, LLC
Speech/Language Therapy
Speech and Language Therapy sessions are designed to
address the individual needs of each client. Sessions address
articulation, language and pragmatic skills as needed. For
children with hearing impairment these sessions will also
include an auditory component to the degree desired by the
family. These sessions differ only in the use of additional
communication supports as needed or desired by the
child/family: development of auditory and spoken language
skills remains the overall goal. Parent participation is still
required and home carry-over activities will be a priority.

Group Therapy Services
Summer offers an excellent opportunity for therapy
"camps" that bring children together to work on their
similar auditory and language objectives. To the
greatest extent possible these groups are enhanced
with the participation of siblings or other children who
can serve as typical language models. Week-long
themes are chosen to unify the variety of directed
lessons, pretend play and structured outdoor activities
with appropriate language. Parents assist with the
group on at least one occasion.
